The cost of holiday accommodation in Lanzarote is rising sharply. A recent report from the Lanzarote Data Centre reveals that average prices for hotels and apartments increased by 7% in the first half of 2023 compared to the same period last year.
This upward trend is expected to become more pronounced once figures for July and August, the peak tourist months, are released.
In January, the average price for a stay was €129, marking a 5% increase from 2022. February saw an average rate of €136.20, up by 5.4%. March experienced the most significant jump, coinciding with Easter, reaching €141—a rise of 11%.
In April, the average was €132.70 (up 4.3%), followed by May at €114 (5.7% more), and June at €120.40, reflecting an 11% increase.
February had the highest average price for hotels at €147.50, while in March, the typical cost for apartments was €87.90.
