An Air Baltic flight was diverted to Fuerteventura this evening after failing to land at Gran Canaria’s Gando Airport due to strong winds. According to Radar Canaria, which monitors air traffic, the aircraft was redirected to the island of Fuerteventura.

The Scandinavian flight, carrying tourists, is expected to remain overnight at Fuerteventura, where passengers will need to be reallocated due to adverse weather conditions.

Despite the storm, inter-island flights are reportedly operating normally, with Binter’s ATR planes running without issues.
