LATAM VIVE Festival a Resounding Success in Lanzarote
The LATAM VIVE festival kicked off successfully in Arrecife on Saturday, attracting over 4,000 attendees. The event celebrated the island’s diverse culture with a vibrant display of music, food, and activities.
Held at the Arrecife Fairground, the festival featured performances from popular artists including El Jeffrey, La K’Onga, and Dani Valiente. Attendees enjoyed traditional cuisine, children’s activities, and a colourful parade, all complemented by three large screens and high-quality sound systems.
Festival organisers hailed the event as a triumph, stating, “We transformed diversity into beautiful shared experiences.”
Sunday’s programme promises to continue the festivities, starting at midday, with performances from Soy Colombia Danza, Ensamble Tango, Javier Vásquez, and Orquesta Son. There will also be a lively urban music segment featuring Geram, El Lince, and Stif, along with contributions from Johan Crissaga, Loboa, and Candela Latina.
Last night, DJ Chalo and Kero got the party started, while Mariachi Azteca and Parada Dominicana captivated audiences with their performances.
The festival, organised by Preventos Media, aims to promote social integration among the islands and celebrate the rich contemporary cultural diversity of Latin America. Supported by significant backing from the Cabildo, Turismo Lanzarote, and various local organisations, proceeds from food stalls will benefit charitable causes.
Children can enjoy dedicated zones with safe bouncy castles, face painting workshops, and balloon artistry from noon until 8 PM. The event features a well-equipped stage with professional lighting and sound, ensured by presenter Juan Carlos Torres Bahamón, who keeps the festive spirit alive.
