Four Arrested for Selling Counterfeit Goods in Tenerife
Police in Santa Cruz de Tenerife have arrested four individuals for allegedly selling counterfeit products in Costa Adeje and Playa de las Américas. Approximately 2,000 items were seized, with a potential market value of around €210,000.
The arrests followed multiple complaints from representatives of various brands, highlighting the illegal sale of counterfeit goods using protected trademarks without authorisation. In response, officers conducted investigations and identified several establishments offering the fake items.
A coordinated operation led to simultaneous raids on these locations, assisted by an expert appointed by the affected brands. The operation resulted in the confiscation of clothing and accessories that infringed on the rights of well-known trademarks.
In addition to the four arrested, a fifth individual is under investigation. All are being charged with industrial property crimes and have been handed over to the relevant judicial authority.
