Lanzarote’s Housing Prices Surge in First Half of 2023
The average price of residential property in Lanzarote reached €3,208 per square metre in June, up by €234 since January, when it stood at €2,974 per square metre. This upward trend has been consistent throughout the first half of the year, according to data from the Centre for Data based on information from property portal Idealista.
The statistics indicate a steady increase month-on-month, starting with a price of €2,974 in January. February saw a slight dip to €2,972, while March rose to €2,979. In April, the price jumped to €3,064, followed by €3,122 in May, before hitting €3,208 in June.
Significant variations across Lanzarote’s municipalities have also been noted. Tías remains one of the priciest areas, rising from €3,775 per square metre at the beginning of the year to €3,957 in June—the highest among the municipalities surveyed.
Yaiza follows, with prices rising from €3,638 in January to €3,680 in June, peaking at €3,737 in May. Teguise experienced an increase from €2,962 to €3,341, while San Bartolomé saw a rise from €2,922 to €3,134 during the same period. Arrecife’s price rose from €2,178 to €2,375, while Haría grew from €2,949 to €3,059.
The report does not include data for all municipalities each month but reflects trends where information is available. The average price is estimated based on the number of homes in each area, using 2021 census data from the National Institute of Statistics (INE).
This series of statistics covers January to June, providing insight into the residential property market’s performance in Lanzarote during the first half of the year.
