A man has died after drowning at Playa Blanca in Puerto del Rosario, Fuerteventura, on Tuesday, as reported by 1-1-2 Canarias.
Emergency services received a call at 3:37 PM alerting them to a man showing signs of drowning. Upon arrival, paramedics discovered he had been brought ashore by a zodiac boat but was in cardiac arrest. Despite advanced resuscitation efforts, they were unable to revive him, and he was pronounced dead at the scene.
Local police, beach rescue personnel, and firefighters assisted in the emergency response. Meanwhile, the National Police are guarding the deceased’s body until judicial authorities arrive to conduct necessary procedures.
This incident marks the second drowning in the area within 24 hours; on Monday, a woman was found face down just metres from the shore at Nido de las Águilas beach.
