Santa Cruz de Tenerife Begins Contest for 2027 Carnival Poster
Santa Cruz de Tenerife will open entries on Monday for the competition to design the poster and graphic image for the city’s 2027 Carnival, themed “Eternal Rome: The Empire of Carnival.”
Mayor José Manuel Bermúdez stated that the public competition aims to promote local talent to represent the city’s most international celebration.
He noted the high-quality artistic works that have emerged from previous editions of this contest.
The process will have three phases. The first, from June 29 to July 29, involves participants submitting their designs.
Details are available on the official Carnival website, and submissions must be made online through the electronic registry.
After the submission period, a selection committee will choose five finalists, who will then have 30 days to create the complete graphic image based on their original poster.
The final phase will last seven days, during which the public can vote for their favourite proposal.
The winner will receive a prize of €12,000, while the finalists will each receive €1,000.
