A 51-year-old woman has died after being recovered from the sea at Punta Mujeres, in the Haría municipality, on Saturday. The incident occurred around 1:00 PM, as reported by the Canary Islands Emergency and Security Coordination Centre (CECOES 112).
Emergency services received alerts that multiple people had pulled the woman from the water and were performing CPR. Among them was an off-duty firefighter.
The Canarian Emergency Service (SUC) dispatched a medical ambulance and a basic life support unit to assist. Upon arrival, medics found the woman still in cardiac arrest and began advanced resuscitation efforts. Unfortunately, they were unable to revive her, and she was pronounced dead at the scene.
The operation also involved the Civil Guard and the Haría Local Police. The Civil Guard secured the area until the judicial authority arrived and undertook necessary procedures, while the Local Police assisted the emergency teams present.
