Firefighters from the Emergency Services Consortium extinguished a fire at a restaurant in Puerto del Carmen on Friday.

The alert came through the central fire dispatch regarding a fryer blaze. Upon arrival, firefighters found the local police waiting to guide them to the restaurant. The Civil Guard later joined the response team.
The kitchen was mainly open to the street, preventing a significant accumulation of smoke. Firefighters used oil provided by the restaurant staff to put out the fire. After extinguishing the flames, they monitored the oil temperature with a thermal camera. Once they confirmed the temperature had dropped, they reported back to headquarters and concluded their operation.
