Three people were taken to Doctor José Molina Orosa Hospital early on Sunday following a serious traffic accident on Los Cabezos street in Puerto del Carmen, Tías. A car overturned after colliding with a parked vehicle.
The incident occurred at 4:51 a.m., prompting a response from firefighters from the South and Central parks of the Lanzarote Emergency and Security Consortium, alongside medical services and CECOES.
Upon arrival, firefighters found the overturned vehicle with its three occupants still inside. While all were in apparently good health, one person had a cut on their right hand.
Fire crews first stabilised the vehicle for safe access before starting the extraction process. All three were safely freed and taken to the hospital for evaluation.
The Central park’s team arrived to assist the South team during the operation. Once the rescue was complete and the area secured, firefighters reported the situation to CECOES and returned to their bases.
### Another Accident in Arrecife
Just hours later, at 6:45 a.m., another accident occurred on Safantia street in the Argana Baja district of Arrecife.
The local police requested Central park’s assistance for road cleaning following a collision between two vehicles.
According to the Emergency Consortium, neither driver required medical attention. Firefighters cleared debris and spilled fluids from the roadway to ensure traffic safety while tow trucks removed the wrecked vehicles.
The local police monitored the area and managed traffic until the road was completely clear and the operation was concluded.
