A man has been arrested by the Guardia Civil at Morro Jable port in Fuerteventura for allegedly trafficking drugs. The arrest occurred in late August as part of a targeted operation to prevent drug trafficking in passenger ports.

Officers identified the man as he attempted to board a ferry to Gran Canaria, carrying a sports bag. Upon inspection, they found 20 blocks of a resinous substance, believed to be hashish pollen, weighing a total of 10.2 kilos.
The man was detained for violating public health laws related to drug trafficking. He was subsequently remanded in custody by the judicial authorities, who ordered his transfer to a prison facility.
