The Advanced Command Post near the Church of Los Dolores is operating at full capacity to ensure safety during the busiest day of the pilgrimage.
Over 200 personnel, including members of the Lanzarote and La Graciosa Emergency Consortium, state security forces, NGOs, and civil protection teams, are coordinating efforts to maintain security throughout the event.
Francisco J. Aparicio, the president of the Emergency Consortium, emphasised the need for pilgrims to adhere to signage and use designated paths. He also expressed gratitude to all the team at the Command Post, including Yurena Cubas, the councillor for Security and Emergencies in Tinajo, for their teamwork.
A medical team at the Command Post attended to six minor incidents by midday, with one person referred to the Doctor José Molina Orosa University Hospital.
The Emergency Consortium urged the public to cooperate by respecting road closures and using the temporary diversions for vehicles.
