Passenger numbers at the Caleta del Sebo port in La Graciosa reached 235,936 in the first half of 2026, marking a 6.6% drop of 16,822 travellers compared to the same period in 2025.
Regular ferry services to the eighth island saw a loss of 13,693 passengers, a decline of 5.77%. Meanwhile, commercial and secondary excursion trips decreased even further, falling by 20.11% to just 12,434 passengers.
The Órzola port, crucial for connecting Lanzarote to La Graciosa, recorded 229,116 passengers, down 5.92% or 14,409 users, compared to the same timeframe last year.
At Playa Blanca, the principal port on the island, 559,407 passengers passed through, which is a slight decrease of 0.39% (2,199 fewer users) from the previous year. However, the dynamics have shifted, with regular line passengers dropping by 23,394 (4.31%) while non-regular and excursion travel surged by 107.63%, from 19,088 to 39,632 users.
Conversely, the smaller La Tiñosa port experienced the steepest percentage decline, registering just 6,209 passengers, a 49.15% decrease (6,002 users) from 12,211 in the first half of 2025. With no regular routes, its operations largely relied on excursions and charter trips, which peaked in January and February before dwindling significantly in the following months.
