Pájara Launches Special Bus Service for Windsurfing World Championship
The Pájara Town Council has expressed gratitude to the Cabildo of Fuerteventura for establishing a special bus service during the Windsurfing World Championship and La Carpa festival. This service aims to improve transportation for both residents and visitors during one of the municipality’s key summer events.
The decision followed a coordination meeting involving officials from the Cabildo, Pájara, and La Carpa’s organising committee, attended by Deputy Mayor Alexis Alonso and Councillors Raimundo Dacosta and Pepe Díaz, alongside Transportation Councillor Luis González.
The special bus service will operate over four days across three weekends, designed to enhance mobility for attendees and facilitate easier access to event venues.
Town officials emphasised the importance of this institutional collaboration in ensuring efficient transport during the events, enabling a more comfortable and safer experience for everyone involved.
All representatives welcomed the initiative, highlighting its benefits for both event organisation and the local community. The council appreciates the collective effort from the Cabildo to support this initiative, which also promotes environmental awareness related to the events.
