A vehicle crashed into a barrier early this morning on the LZ-2 road near El Cable, heading towards Arrecife. The incident occurred around 1:30 AM, as reported by the Lanzarote Consortium of Safety and Emergencies.
The call was made to Arrecife’s local police, who confirmed that there were no occupants trapped inside the vehicle. When emergency services arrived, local police had secured the area, and paramedics were treating the two occupants.
According to the Consortium, neither occupant sustained serious injuries, although medical staff provided necessary care at the scene. The vehicle was primarily damaged at the front due to the collision with the barrier.
Firefighters removed debris from the road to prevent hazard for other drivers and disconnected the car’s battery for safety before assisting with the vehicle’s recovery.
The operation concluded once the car was removed and the area was cleared.
