Cultural Film Project Expands to La Graciosa
The cultural initiative La Pantalla Chinija is set to reach the eighth island of the Canaries, La Graciosa, on Saturday, 27 June 2026. Following a successful initial session, it returns with a new film and educational programme aimed at children. The event will take place at 12:00 at the Inocencia Páez Sociocultural Centre in Caleta de Sebo.

This initiative, led by Tenique Cultural, uses film as a tool for emotional education. It aims to provide children with a space that fosters curiosity and empathy, particularly in La Graciosa, where activities for young audiences are rare. The event seeks to become a community gathering point for enjoying cinema.
The animated film Yakari imparts universal values such as friendship, animal respect, and environmental awareness through exciting adventures. La Pantalla Chinija encourages mindful media consumption and aims to inspire creativity while distancing itself from purely commercial entertainment.
A unique aspect of the project will transpire once the credits roll. Vicki Dos Santos will facilitate a discussion tailored to the various ages of the children present, transforming film viewing into an interactive opportunity for children to express their feelings and engage in critical thinking.
The programme is supported by Tenique Cultural and receives collaboration from the Lanzarote Cabildo’s Youth Department and the local councils of Tías, Arrecife, Haría, San Bartolomé, Yaiza, and Tinajo.
