Tenerife is set for a cloudy Sunday with a chance of light rain in the north, particularly during the morning. The State Meteorological Agency (Aemet) forecasts overcast skies, especially in the midlands of the north and northeast, while other areas will enjoy clearer conditions.
Rainfall is most likely in the early hours, especially in the northeast. There is also a possibility of light rain reaching the southern midlands in the afternoon, with coastal temperatures remaining stable.
Santa Cruz de Tenerife is expected to reach 29 degrees Celsius, with a low of 23 degrees. In contrast, areas of higher elevation will experience slightly cooler temperatures.
Wind will originate from the northeast, occasionally strong in the southeast and northwest, while lighter winds will prevail in the central peaks.
Similar weather conditions are anticipated across the other islands. Gran Canaria will see cloudy skies in the north with light rain expected in the midlands, mainly during the night, while the south will be clearer. Temperatures will drop in the peaks but remain steady elsewhere.
La Gomera, La Palma, and El Hierro will also experience overcast skies with a higher likelihood of rain on the northern and eastern slopes, particularly overnight and in the early morning.
Lanzarote and Fuerteventura will have some cloud cover and minimal temperature fluctuations, reaching maximums of 28 and 27 degrees respectively.
On the sea, northeastern winds will blow at force 4 or 5, potentially reaching 6. The maritime situation will be rough to very rough, with swells from the north or northeast measuring between one and two metres.
