MICROSISTEMAS Opens Enrolment for 2026-2027 Academic Year
The Integrated Centre for Professional Training, MICROSISTEMAS, has launched enrolment for its 2026-2027 academic year after marking its 45th anniversary and the graduation of 140 new professionals. The centre encourages young people and adults in Lanzarote to pursue their studies locally, paving the way for broader career opportunities.
A Proven Track Record
Since its establishment in 1981, MICROSISTEMAS has trained over 90,000 students and has become a key player in professional training on the island. Its courses, including Nursing Assistance, Diagnostic Imaging and Nuclear Medicine, Oral Hygiene, Dietetics, and Administration and Finance, are tailored to meet the demands of the Canary Islands’ job market.
This strong alignment with local industry is reflected in the 73% employability rate for graduates, with many sectors nearing full employment. Projections indicate that by 2030, 70% of job vacancies will require professionals trained in these fields.
A Wide Range of Courses
In addition to recently launched courses, MICROSISTEMAS offers up to 16 different qualifications in areas such as Commerce and Marketing, Web Development, IT, Cooking, Tourism, and Hospitality, broadening educational options available on the island.
Dual Qualifications Available
Thanks to an agreement with the Isabel I University, students can pursue a dual qualification within three years. Alternatively, they can choose to combine their professional training diploma with a university degree, obtaining both within four years.
Ongoing Employment Support
Enrolling at MICROSISTEMAS extends beyond graduation. The centre operates its own job placement agency, providing continued support to alumni in their job search and keeping them updated on new opportunities. Beatriz Salazar, the centre’s director, describes this support as a lifelong commitment.
