Canary Island Artist Quevedo Blossoms in Popularity
Quevedo, the rising star from the Canary Islands, has become a global sensation. His music is played worldwide, concert tickets vanish within minutes, and he frequently collaborates with international artists, highlighting his unstoppable success.
In an unexpected tribute, street artist Beto (@betoalaboquilla) has showcased Quevedo’s face on the dilapidated Hotel Neptuno in Bajamar, Tenerife. The building now prominently features the artwork from Quevedo’s latest album, portraying him alongside a goat, which is central to the project’s theme.
Using spray paint, Beto’s design incorporates the colours of the Canary Islands flag, along with the eight stars he uses to symbolise the islands. He shared his creation on social media, expressing his joy with the message, “What a blessing that so much water separates us.”
Beto’s process video has gone viral, amassing over 29,000 likes and 600 comments on Instagram, further showcasing his talent and connection to Quevedo.
