A significant fire broke out around midday on Monday in the Cazadores area of Telde, Gran Canaria. The local government, known as the Cabildo, has warned that the blaze poses a “high potential” risk. The island is currently under a yellow alert for high temperatures issued by the State Meteorological Agency (Aemet), alongside a fire risk alert from the Canary Islands government.
