Fuerteventura Film Commission Completes First Training Block of 2026
The Fuerteventura Film Commission (FFC) has wrapped up its first training block of the year with a course on sound post-production, focusing on audio narration in film and television. The course was led by acclaimed sound engineer José Ignacio Arrufat, known for his work on productions like La Casa de Papel.
From July 6 to 10, around 20 participants took part in this free training at the Palace of Training and Conferences in Fuerteventura. The course provided practical insights into sound post-production processes and the importance of sound narration in audiovisual creation.
Nereida Calero, FFC’s councillor, emphasised the importance of specialised training that meets the real needs of the audiovisual industry, helping local professionals enhance their skills and job prospects. She also noted the commission’s commitment to nurturing local talent by bringing in respected professionals to share their expertise.
This course concludes the FFC’s first set of workshops for 2026, which included specialised training in scenography, screenwriting, and sound post-production. The aim is to strengthen professional skills across various areas of audiovisual production.
More Training on the Horizon
After the summer, FFC plans to launch a second series of free workshops covering various aspects of the audiovisual industry, including makeup, cinematographic lighting, and sound. This initiative aims to further develop local talent and establish Fuerteventura as a key destination for audiovisual production.
