A man has been arrested in Morro Jable, Fuerteventura, for allegedly attempting to traffic drugs. The arrest occurred at the end of August during a Guardia Civil operation aimed at preventing drug trafficking in passenger ports.

Officers identified the suspect as he prepared to board a ferry to Gran Canaria, carrying a sports bag. Upon inspection, they discovered 20 blocks of a resinous substance, believed to be hashish, weighing a total of 10.2 kilograms.
Following the seizure, the man was detained on suspicion of a public health offence related to drug trafficking. He has since been remanded in custody by the judicial authority.
