Migrant Boat Rescued Near El Hierro
Salvamento Marítimo successfully rescued a migrant boat on Tuesday morning, after it was spotted by a Portuguese military vessel on Sunday. The boat was located approximately 195 miles from El Hierro, specifically 18 miles southwest of La Restinga.

The Sasemar 101 aircraft discovered the irregular vessel at around 9:30 AM. A total of 133 migrants were aboard, including six minors and two women. They were rescued by the Salvamar Navia and Diphda, aided by the Guardamar Urania, and all arrived safely at port around 2 PM.
The search operation, which began on Sunday, also involved the Sasemar 101 and the Helimer 204, and was coordinated by the Maritime Rescue Coordination Centre in Tenerife.
