Cabildo Reaffirms Commitment to Employability with “Tenerife Advances with NOE 2025-2026” Project
The Tenerife Cabildo is making strides in enhancing employability through its “Tenerife Advances with NOE 2025-2026” initiative, part-funded by the Canary Employment Service and the European Social Fund Plus (FSE+). After nine months, the project remains on track, focusing on improving public services and helping unemployed graduates on the island enter the job market.
Efraín Medina, the Councillor for Employment and Education, emphasised that practical training and professional support are vital for creating job opportunities in Tenerife. He noted the importance of programmes that combine real-world experience, skill development, and social commitment. Participants are not only improving public services but also enhancing their own job prospects.
Since the project’s launch, hired personnel have worked in various sectors, including Social Action, Citizen Participation, Economic Development, and Environmental Sustainability. Their efforts contribute to modernising services and enhancing the daily operations of local government.
Participants are gaining valuable technical and transversal skills, increasing their chances of finding employment once the initiative concludes. Many express satisfaction at their opportunity to secure a first work placement with the Cabildo, aiming to make a positive entry into the professional world.
This initiative aims to bolster employability through training contracts, providing recent graduates with the chance to gain practical experience in their chosen fields.
