A free music masterclass by Palm Island artist Christian Cabrera will take place on Friday, 25 September, at the Municipal Cultural Centre in La Aldea de San Nicolás, from 5 PM to 6:30 PM. The event is part of the Mousiké series, which offers various educational experiences related to music.
Titled “Camino Las Fuentes. Didactic Session,” Cabrera’s masterclass will showcase his unique musical approach, blending jazz improvisation with contemporary urban music. His style incorporates singable melodies, complex rhythms, and diverse influences from jazz and modern music.
Cabrera received the Best Project of the Year award at the Canarias Jazz Showroom and is noted for his innovative contributions to the jazz scene in the Canary Islands.
Victor Juan Hernández, the local Councillor for Culture, expressed his satisfaction with the initiative, stating it enhances cultural education in the community and creates new platforms for learning. He added that the council aims to provide a diverse programme catering to both general audiences and those seeking educational opportunities in the arts.
The masterclass is supported by the Gran Canaria Cabildo’s Culture Department as part of the Mousiké series, which focuses on promoting musical education and initiatives.
