Emergency services in Lanzarote responded on Tuesday to reports of an injured sea turtle spotted in Los Ancones.

Firefighters from the Lanzarote and La Graciosa Consorcio de Seguridad y Emergencias arrived to find a turtle with visible injuries. They carefully secured the creature, ensuring its safety during the handling and transport.
The turtle was then taken to the firefighters’ facilities, where it will be kept safe until staff from the Environmental Services can collect it and transfer it to a wildlife recovery centre. The operation has now concluded.
