Salvamento Marítimo rescued a boat carrying around 50 people attempting to reach the Canary Islands late on Friday. The vessel was located 56 nautical miles east of Lanzarote, as reported by the Lanzarote Cabildo’s Safety and Emergency Consortium.
The boat is expected to arrive at Puerto Naos in Arrecife, a well-known point for irregular migrant arrivals, at approximately 1:30 AM on Saturday.
