Two people, including a seven-year-old girl, were injured in a collision involving four vehicles on the GC-1 road near Avenida Marítima, heading south. The accident occurred around 1 p.m. on Thursday, causing significant delays on the route.
The emergency services received a call about the multi-vehicle incident, which involved one person trapped inside a vehicle. Upon arrival, medical staff from the Canary Island Emergency Service assessed and treated the injured individuals: a 36-year-old woman and the child, both suffering from varying degrees of injury.
They were subsequently taken to Gran Canaria Insular University Hospital and Materno Infantil University Hospital for further care.
Local police managed traffic in the area and are currently investigating the incident.
