Tívoli La Caleta Resort Hosts Costa Adeje Cocktail Championship
The Tívoli La Caleta Resort in Tenerife recently hosted the XIX Costa Adeje Cocktail Championship 2026, organised by the Tenerife Bartenders Association (ABT). The event aimed to select representatives for the upcoming 71st National Cocktail Congress and Championship set for November in Valencia. This year’s competition was notably intense due to new regulatory measures that increased pressure on participants, marking it as the most challenging in the event’s history.
To ensure fairness, the ABT emphasised transparency throughout the evaluation process, overseen by technical committees and tasting juries. They acknowledged the significant personal and financial commitment from participants and volunteers who strive to enhance the industry.
The competition featured three official categories, with results determined by a detailed scoring system. In the Rives Aperitivo 2026 category, Víctor Manuel Suárez Mora emerged as the champion with 98 points, followed closely by Claire Elise Lázaro with 96 points and Giuseppe Parello in third with 87 points.
Alejandro Cuadrado Hernández took first place in the Classic Coffee Cocktail 2026 category with an impressive 839 points. Claire Lázaro again made it to the podium, finishing second with 771 points, while Carolina Oliva Sanfiel secured third with 700 points.
In the Flairbartending 2026 category, which judged participants on both technical skills and entertainment value, Mario Andrés Soto Molina triumphed with 821 points. Mario Rispoli claimed second with 619 points, and Stiven Alexander Viasus Rodríguez came third with 570 points. Following a spirited competition, the winners now prepare to represent the Canary Islands at the national event in Valencia.
