Heatwave Expected in Fuerteventura: Temperatures to Exceed 30 Degrees
Fuerteventura is set to experience a significant rise in temperatures starting Monday, with figures reaching up to 35 degrees Celsius by the weekend. Early in the week, temperatures will reflect the seasonal average but are expected to climb with intense calima affecting the island on Tuesday.
While Germany is grappling with temperatures exceeding 41 degrees for four consecutive days, Fuerteventura will maintain relatively pleasant weather at first. However, forecasts indicate that central and southern areas of the island could see temperatures soar to 35 degrees over the weekend.
The recent trade winds have provided some relief, blowing away the intense African high-pressure system that has been affecting Europe. These winds will shift on Monday, veering north and easing, which may intensify the feeling of heat.
Sea conditions are predicted to remain calm, with wave heights expected to stay under half a metre.
