Magec Tías Welcomes Back Noelia Lago for New Season
Magec Tías Lanzarote Contra la Violencia de Género has secured the return of Noelia Lago, a local talent well-acquainted with the club’s ethos. The 2026/2027 season will see her back in the red and black jersey after six seasons in Liga Femenina 2, contributing to the project led by Màrius Bonjorn.
Lago began her career at Sabor Guacimeta in Playa Honda and Tizziri Tinajo, where she made history as the first player from the club to be selected for the Canary Islands team, highlighting her early potential.
Her development continued at CD Magec Tías, where she steadily advanced through the ranks. At just 16, she made her debut in Liga Femenina 2, ultimately playing 79 matches and accumulating 124 points and 127 rebounds over six seasons. Her consistent commitment and impact on both ends of the court were notable.
After her time at Magec, Lago took a break from national women’s basketball, playing the last season with Ariagona Lanzarote in Primera Autonómica Femenina. There, she excelled, scoring 184 points across 20 matches, affirming her growth in both skill and maturity.
Now, with that valuable experience under her belt, Lago returns to CD Magec Tías Lanzarote, bringing renewed confidence for this new chapter. Her dedication and effort make her a key asset for a team that values local talent as a cornerstone of its strategy.
With Lago’s return, Magec Tías continues to shape a competitive squad under Bonjorn’s leadership. So far, the club has also confirmed the renewals of Yaiza García and Carolina Mateo, combining experience and strong club identity.
