Lanzarote’s hotel sector remains one of the most optimistic in the Canary Islands, despite a general decline in the Hotel Confidence Index across most islands in the third quarter.
According to the Collective Tourist Accommodation Expectations Survey, Lanzarote boasts a Hotel Confidence Index of 135.5 points, significantly higher than the Canary Islands average of 122.8 points.
This places Lanzarote as the second island with the highest level of hotel confidence in the archipelago, behind La Palma, which stands at 200.1 points. It outperforms Gran Canaria (129.1), Fuerteventura (117.5), Tenerife (114.4), El Hierro (103.6), and La Gomera (51.0).
While this result reflects a drop compared to the same quarter last year—a trend seen throughout the islands—Lanzarote’s hotel operators retain more confidence than most, positioning the island as a top destination in the sector.
The report also shows an expectations balance of 15.8 points, indicating a positive outlook for the upcoming quarter. Meanwhile, the situation balance is at 8.7 points, reflecting a favourable assessment of the past quarter.
Both indicators remain in positive territory, suggesting that the sector has a confident view of both the current situation and short-term developments.
