A man has been arrested for breaching a court order forbidding him from entering Vecindario, a town in Santa Lucía de Tirajana, Gran Canaria. The incident occurred in the early hours of 23 June 2026, when a citizen security patrol spotted him walking down the street.
The officers immediately recognised the individual, who was subject to a legal prohibition against residing or accessing the area. Following his identification, the officers confirmed the existence of the court order, which had been imposed due to previous serious criminal convictions involving violent behaviour and threats.
Realising he was in clear violation of the order, the officers arrested him on the spot, informing him of his rights and the reasons for his detention. He was then taken to police headquarters for further proceedings.
The protective measure prohibiting him from entering Vecindario was put in place to prevent any further incidents as part of ongoing judicial actions against him. The case has been forwarded to the San Bartolomé de Tirajana court for continuation of legal processes.
