Tenerife to Host Rural Products Fair to Promote Local Industry
Tenerife’s first Rural Products Fair will take place on Saturday, 27 June, at the Casa del Vino in El Sauzal, featuring around 20 local producers. The event, organised by the island’s Primary Sector Department, aims to highlight local products and support primary industries.
Valentín González, the Primary Sector Minister, stated that the fair is a platform for promoting local products, enabling connections between producers, consumers, and public bodies involved in Tenerife’s agricultural sector.
The fair will run from 10 AM to 7 PM, showcasing local food items such as tropical fruits, honey, cheese, traditional cured meats, and organic goods. González emphasised that purchasing local products promotes job creation, supports sustainability, and energises the primary sector.
This initiative aims to encourage the consumption of locally sourced food and enhance the visibility of cooperatives and small businesses while celebrating Tenerife’s rich agricultural, fishing, and culinary heritage.
