Binter Enhances August Flight Schedule for Canary Islands
Binter has ramped up its inter-island flight schedule in the Canary Islands this August to meet the seasonal rise in travel demand. The airline is offering 1,700 flights weekly, an increase of 64 routes compared to a standard June week. This enhancement will provide over 125,200 seats each week, with an additional 4,100 available.
Throughout August, Binter will operate more than 7,500 flights between the Canary Islands, offering over 559,000 seats—a 7% increase from 2025’s offerings. The expansion is facilitated by adding an extra ATR aircraft to its inter-island programme, ensuring better connectivity for residents and visitors during one of the busiest periods of the year.
Increased Routes
Significant increases in flights include 44 additional weekly connections between Fuerteventura and Tenerife North, marking a 47% growth. Flights between Lanzarote and Tenerife North are up by 42, equating to a 35% increase over the usual June schedule.
Additionally, there’s nearly double the weekly flights between Gran Canaria and El Hierro, with 22 more routes. Flights from Gran Canaria to Tenerife South and La Palma have increased by 8 and 4, respectively, while Tenerife North will see 8 new connections to El Hierro.
In July, Binter reinstated a direct link between Lanzarote and La Palma, offering 14 flights weekly. A new direct route between Fuerteventura and La Palma will run until early September, with six direct flights every week.
