The José Ramírez Cerdá Park in Arrecife recently hosted the second edition of ‘Tierra con Talento II’, the popular talent show that featured 14 contestants and attracted over a hundred guests. The event showcased the artistic talent of the participants and the enthusiasm of a large audience.
The top three prizes were awarded in the singing category. Francisco Manuel Caballero won first place and €600 for his performance of ‘En cambio no’. Gianlucca García took home second place and €400 for his rendition of ‘Nessun dorma’, while Claudia del Rosario claimed third place and €200 for her interpretation of ‘Garganta con arena’.
Deputy Mayor Echedey Eugenio praised both the organisers and participants for their contributions, highlighting that this year’s event demonstrated the talent and creativity present among young people in Arrecife and throughout Lanzarote. He expressed a commitment from the local council to continue providing opportunities for youth to showcase their skills and feel valued.
In addition to the cash prize, Caballero also received a unique painting created by artist Iván Tempera, who produced the artwork live during the show. This piece was included as a special recognition for the winner.
Raúl Maro and Lula Guedes, experienced performers from notable musical productions like ‘Hoy no me puedo levantar’, ‘Priscilla, reina del desierto’, and ‘We Will Rock You’, hosted the gala. While the judges made their deliberations, Maro and Guedes entertained the audience with performances of popular songs from artists such as Madonna and Mecano.
The event was organised by Ayose Medina and Tatiana Niz from the MT Dance School, which opened the show with their own performance. The gala also featured a dance group from MT Dance, last year’s winners of the first edition of ‘Tierra con Talento’, who returned to showcase their talents once again.
Contestants performed across various disciplines, including singing, dancing, magic, and circus acts, with additional displays of contortion, aerial hoops, and pole dancing, contributing to the event’s aim of highlighting emerging artistic talents during the San Ginés festivities.
