The Spanish Meteorological Agency (AEMET) has issued a yellow alert for storms in Fuerteventura on Tuesday. Following a weekend of bad weather in the western province, the eastern parts of the island may experience further heavy rainfall.
Residents are advised to remain cautious, as occasional downpours may occur with lightning.
In response to the impending storms, the Canary Islands’ Directorate General for Emergencies has declared a pre-alert status for the entire autonomous community in the coming hours.
