Sunday’s festivities featured workshops, masterclasses, and musical performances, kicking off with singer Littus at 1 PM, followed by La Parranda Chasnera later in the afternoon. The fair concluded with a special musical show by Gaitas Pa’ Vos, celebrating Venezuelan bagpipes. With Danny Martínez at the helm, the central stage was filled to capacity for this finale.

Efraín Medina, the Councillor for Employment, Education, and Youth, expressed gratitude to the team for ensuring the completion of the events and workshops. He noted this year’s family-friendly focus and highlighted efforts to showcase traditional crafts.

Workshops began as soon as the doors opened, with three sessions running simultaneously from 11.15 AM. Portuguese artisan Sofia Colejo taught a fish-scale technique, while local teachers María Candelaria Acosta and Francisca Afonso led a session on traditional garment patterns. Families could also join a paper and cardboard workshop with Tenerife artisan Maru Pacheco.

At 4 PM, Mexican Laureano Martínez held a masterclass on creating catrinas. Meanwhile, Macedonian artisan Katarina Doda introduced filigree techniques, alongside Tenerife’s Antonio Rodríguez Ruiz, who demonstrated palm weaving. Others attended a practical session on Mexican basketry with Javier Hernández.

Following this closing day, the Tenerife Council has begun preparations for the next edition of the fair, with Puerto Rico set to be the guest country in 2028.
