A 45-year-old woman was seriously injured after falling approximately 10 metres in Costa Calma, Pájara, in the south of Fuerteventura on Sunday. She was airlifted to the University Hospital of Gran Canaria.

The emergency services received an alert at around 5:16 PM reporting the fall. Immediately, the 1-1-2 emergency coordination centre dispatched necessary resources to assist her and manage her transport.
A medical helicopter from the Canarian Emergency Service (SUC) responded to the scene. Once there, medical professionals provided assistance and stabilised the woman before transferring her to hospital.
The woman suffered severe injuries to her back and rib area, necessitating urgent medical attention.
