Mostazza has won the award for the best burger at the inaugural Burger Fest Canarias in Lanzarote, held on Friday and Saturday at Playa Honda Urban Park as part of the 2026 Playa Honda festivities. Smash Hub secured second place, while Mamut came in third and also took home the audience’s choice award.
Over 15,000 people attended the festival, which featured a wide array of gourmet burgers, vegan and gluten-free options, desserts, and craft beers, alongside music and entertainment from 15 local establishments and restaurants from other islands.
San Bartolomé Mayor Isidro Pérez expressed his delight, stating that the event “exceeded all expectations” and praised the park as an excellent venue for such gatherings.
The festival’s organisers included the San Bartolomé Town Hall’s Festejos and Comercio departments, which worked together to create a gastronomic and commercial boost for the festivities. The council also acknowledged the efforts of professionals involved in security, cleaning, setup, and overall organisation throughout the event.
