A Panamanian-flagged tugboat, the GT Victory, was intercepted by Spanish authorities in the Atlantic off the coast of the Canary Islands, carrying over 3,300 kilos of cocaine.

The vessel has been brought to port in Santa Cruz de Tenerife, where all eight crew members, citizens of Albania and the Philippines, have been arrested. They are currently in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, awaiting decisions from the National Court regarding their case.
During a search of the tugboat, Spanish security forces found 139 bales of the illegal substance, weighing a total of 3,361 kilos, according to Canarias 7.
