Maritime rescue teams have saved two Moroccan men from a dinghy off the coast of Lanzarote on Wednesday morning, 26 August. Emergency services reported the men were found to be in good health.

The pair indicated they had departed from Safi, a city on Morocco’s west coast, and expressed their intention to seek asylum. The rescue was carried out by Salvamento Marítimo, which transported them to the port of Arrecife, where they arrived around 7 AM.
