On Monday, Tenerife is set for overcast skies in the north, while the southern parts and metropolitan area will experience clearer conditions. Temperatures are expected to remain stable, reaching up to 30 degrees Celsius along the coastal regions of the south and southeast.
However, rain is still a possibility. The State Meteorological Agency (Aemet) forecasts light showers in the northern areas, particularly in the midlands.
Across the Canary Islands, some cloud cover is expected, becoming mostly clear after midday in Fuerteventura and Lanzarote. In the mountainous northern regions, clouds will linger with a slight chance of light rain, especially in the midlands, but skies should clear later in the day. Other areas will be mostly clear with some morning cloudiness in the south. Maximum temperatures will remain steady or increase slightly, with minimum temperatures also rising.
In mainland Spain, a storm off the west coast of Portugal will approach the country, leading to an unsettled day across much of the Peninsula and the Balearic Islands. This will bring heavy showers, winds exceeding 70 kilometres per hour, and a general drop in temperatures.
The strongest effects will be felt in the northwestern part of the Peninsula, where heavy rainfall and lower temperatures are expected. The rest of the country will see clearer skies.
