A three-year-old boy has been rescued from the sea after nearly drowning at Papagayo beach in Lanzarote. The incident occurred at approximately 19:04 on Saturday, 22 August.

Emergency services, including the Civil Guard, local police, and two ambulances—one equipped for medical emergencies—were dispatched to the scene after receiving an alert.
Upon arrival, medical personnel assessed the child, who showed signs of incomplete drowning, before transferring him to Doctor José Molina Orosa Hospital for further care. His condition has been described as moderate.
The Civil Guard and local police coordinated with the emergency services and are conducting an investigation into the incident.
