New Bus Routes Launch in Adeje to Boost Public Transport
Adeje will introduce two new bus services, lines 448 and 449, starting Monday, August 17. This addition aims to enhance public transport options within the municipality and reduce reliance on private vehicles.
Line 448 will link central Adeje with La Caleta, a busy tourist and employment area. This service will make daily commutes easier for workers, residents, and visitors, improving access to one of Adeje’s key job hubs.
Line 449 will enhance mobility in the midlands and connect Taucho, Tijoco Alto, La Concepción, La Hoya, Tijoco Bajo, and Los Menores to Adeje. This route will simplify access to essential services, shops, and administrative tasks, especially benefiting elderly residents and those without cars.
The local council and bus operator TITSA will monitor the usage of these routes to assess demand and make necessary adjustments. Timetables and route information will be available on official public transport channels.
Mayor José Miguel Rodríguez Fraga stated that these new lines address long-standing requests from local residents and will help relieve traffic congestion. Councillor for Mobility, Mercedes Vargas Delgado, added that planning for these services has been thorough, and their use will be reviewed for potential improvements.
