Northeast Winds to Keep Heat at Bay in Fuerteventura
Fuerteventura will experience consistent northeast winds this week, helping to control heat and dust from the African continent.
These winds, which can reach speeds of up to 45 kilometres per hour, will particularly affect the northern, western, and southeastern parts of the island.
Temperatures are expected to remain steady between 27 and 33 degrees Celsius, with the hottest areas located in the central-south region of the island.
While the calima, or dust haze, should be manageable initially, a large cloud of dust is anticipated to arrive once the Azores High ceases to direct the winds towards Fuerteventura.
Caution is advised for those planning to swim, as sea conditions may be rough despite a lack of significant swell.
