Fuerteventura Celebrates Top Students of University Access Exams
The Cabildo of Fuerteventura honoured two outstanding students today for their exceptional results in the University Access Tests (PAU). Xiana Cubas Bascoy from IES Gran Tarajal and Susana Acosta Riobello from IES Vigán achieved the top scores in Fuerteventura, ranking among the best in the entire province of Las Palmas.
The reception featured remarks from Cabildo President Lola García, Education Councillor Adargoma Hernández, and Yurena Pérez, the island’s Education Director. They praised the students for their hard work and dedication, acknowledging the support provided by their families and schools.
Xiana Cubas Bascoy scored an impressive 9.93, while Susana Acosta Riobello followed closely with 9.90—both among the highest marks this year for the University of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria. The students discussed their future academic plans: Susana aims to study Physics, ideally at either the University of La Laguna or Santiago de Compostela, while Xiana plans to pursue Music Production in Madrid.
The Cabildo wishes them every success as they embark on their university journeys in the coming months.
