Tenerife Cabildo Donates Minibus to Buenavista Town Hall to Link Residents with Municipal Pool
The Cabildo of Tenerife has handed over a 26-seat minibus to the Town Hall of Buenavista del Norte, enhancing transport options for residents heading to the municipal pool, located three kilometres from the town centre.
The transfer is in response to a specific request from the local council, which will manage and implement the new transport service designed to improve connectivity with sports facilities.
Rosa Dávila, president of the Cabildo, emphasised the importance of not only providing good public facilities but also ensuring they are easily accessible to everyone, particularly those without personal transport, such as the elderly, children, and young people.
Buenavista’s municipal pool offers various sports and fitness activities, making it a popular spot for exercise and healthy leisure. Mayor Eva García noted that the minibus would significantly aid local residents participating in these activities, increasing accessibility for all age groups.
Eulalia García, the Cabildo’s Mobility Councillor, explained that the vehicle, an Iveco A65C17, had previously served on the TITSA fleet and will now have a new purpose in Buenavista del Norte. The local council will set the operational conditions for this municipal transport initiative.
Dávila reiterated the importance of institutional collaboration, stating that town halls are best placed to understand their community’s needs and that the Cabildo is committed to supporting these local initiatives.
