Four Arrested Following Violent Robbery in Caleta de Fuste
Four men were arrested by the Civil Guard in Fuerteventura on 16 October, linked to a violent robbery that occurred at a semi-abandoned complex where a couple was living.
The victims reported that on 1 October, while they were asleep, a group of six men forcibly entered their home by kicking in the front door. Once inside, they severely assaulted the male resident and stole various mobile devices and cash before fleeing the scene.
Emergency services were called to the scene to assist the victims, who required immediate medical attention. They were subsequently taken to the General Hospital of Fuerteventura for specialist treatment due to their injuries.
Following an investigation, the Civil Guard identified all six suspects, with some residing in the same complex where the assault took place.
In a coordinated operation on 16 October, authorities launched a significant police presence in Caleta de Fuste, collaborating with the recently established Citizen Security Unit (USECI) to simultaneously arrest four of the suspects at their homes.
