Search Operation Rescues Missing Boy in Playa Mujeres
A large search operation unfolded on Friday in Playa Mujeres, Playa Blanca, after a 15-year-old boy went missing. The effort, coordinated by the Lanzarote and La Graciosa Security and Emergency Consortium, successfully located the boy in good health.
The alert was raised at 6:48 PM through the CECOES emergency service, which reported that the boy had been missing for about two hours. Upon activation of the operation, various resources were dispatched, including a drone unit to assist in the search.
Emergency teams worked closely with the boy’s parents to gather vital information regarding his disappearance and immediately launched search efforts on land and sea. They were later joined by officers from the Guardia Civil, local police, and a MI21 helicopter that aided aerial searches.
Eventually, the boy was found in good health by ground teams and was reunited with his family. A preliminary assessment indicated no need for medical assistance.
